We recognize that while our surveys and parent polls have shown $40 is accessible to the median income family in Carson City, that doesn’t mean the cost is accessible for everyone, especially for parents with multiple children.
That’s why we filed as a 501c3 nonprofit, to be able to start fundraising for scholarship funding from the moment we hit the ground running!
We offer both full scholarships covering workshop registration fees, and partial scholarships covering 50% of workshop registration fees across all age groups and topics.

To qualify for a full scholarship, families must show financial need such as by qualifying for the free lunch program through schools, if the student is unsheltered or in foster care, or receiving assistance through SNAP, TANF or a similar program.
Families with moderate financial needs such as qualifying for the reduced lunch program or receiving medicaid, or families with multiple children who would have to choose between their children accessing workshops are all qualifiers for our partial scholarship program.
Applications do not guarantee a scholarship; they are provided as funds allow on a first-come, first-served basis. See our full policy here.
